Welcome to Pagan Meditations! I’ve had the idea for this in mind for some time, but I had no idea how to make it happen. After discussion with my partner and a friend, both techies, we think we’ve found the solution. I wish I had more time to devote to writing and recording the meditations, but bear with me – we’ll get there.
The meditations on offer here all have one thing in common – they are written by, and for, the pagan community. Not all will be overtly pagan in nature, but they will have some reference to a world that most non-pagans tend to disregard, disbelieve, or discredit. If, like me, you’ve searched in vain for meditations you can listen to that incorporate pagan beliefs, attitudes and elements, you’ve come to the right place. Received wisdom in the writing community says that if you can’t find the book you’re looking for – write it. Well, I couldn’t find the meditations I was looking for. So I wrote them. I hope you find them a welcome addition to the myriad of apps, websites and books on meditation already out there.
The plan is to offer six meditations for free, which anyone can download or stream direct from the site. These will give you a flavour of some of the packages that are or will be on offer. For instance, there’s a free meditation on working with citrine, and there will be at least one package of meditations working with other crystals and their major properties. There’s one on finding your totem and directional animals – and there is or will be a package to help you to work with each of these animals, plus a bonus track to make the package up to five. Most of the packages will consist of five meditations, although some wouldn’t work that way – it would be difficult to shoe-horn a package of meditations for the sabbats into that number, after all!
Packages will be compiled of meditations on a theme, whether that be working with crystals, moon phases, animals, trees, Otherworldly beings etc. There will be one-off payment for each package, and you will then be able to download the whole package and use it as you wish. We would request that you retain these meditations for yourself. If a friend enjoys them, you are welcome to direct them to the website, where they will be able to download the six free meditations and make any purchases of their own that appeal to them.
If you have any ideas for meditations you’d like me to include, please feel free to contact me, either via the website or on Facebook.
If you would like to offer a backing track to accompany any of my meditations, I’d also love to hear from you.
